Where BlackInk AI is the better choice
- You want the widest range of styles. BlackInk lists 28+ styles, including special ones such as chicano and ignorant on Pro, against our 12.
- You will generate a lot. Pro Unlimited has no per-image cost. Above roughly 960 standard designs a year, more than our Basic annual plan covers, BlackInk's $72 a year is the cheaper route.
- You want fine control. Pro adds complexity, colour and line-weight settings.
- You want to browse before you prompt. BlackInk has a very large library of idea and style pages.
Where Tatany is the better choice
- You want to try before paying. A free account gets 15 welcome credits plus one free standard generation every day, against three free generations.
- You want the lowest yearly price for moderate use. Our Basic annual plan costs $59.40 a year for 9,600 credits, about 960 standard designs, against $72 for BlackInk Pro Unlimited.
- You only need a few designs. A one-time pack from $19.90 keeps its credits for ten years, with no subscription to cancel.
- You care who owns the design. BlackInk's terms say all rights to the designs belong to BlackInk AI. Our Terms of Service claim no ownership of the designs you generate.
- You want a print-ready stencil. On Pro and Studio, our tattoo stencil generator exports an A4 or Letter PDF at an exact width in centimetres, mirrored if needed, with a scale ruler.

A standard design on Tatany costs 10 credits. Our Basic annual plan is $59.40 a year for 9,600 credits, about 960 standard designs, which is less than BlackInk Pro Unlimited at $72 a year. BlackInk has no cap, so it becomes the better deal if you need more than about 960 designs a year, or if you use advanced models that cost more credits on our side. For a single project, our $19.90 Starter Package covers about 100 standard designs, never renews and keeps its credits for ten years, while a BlackInk month costs $15 and renews until you cancel.
